This is the best kept secret south of south miami. I have lunch here at least twice a week and the quality of the food and the inventiveness of the cook (Miguel I believe) is incredible. Not your typical bar food. This would be excellent food in a 3-4 star restaurant. Delicious pastas, properly cooked and fresh seafood. Miguel must be a professionally trained saucier or a sauce savant - it is the only way to explain the quality of his sauces. Everything is reasonably priced and the service is informal and effective.

Great neighborhood bar. Friendly staff who remember your name and what you drink. They have regular bar food, and more. Make sure you check out the daily dinner specials. Much more than regular bar food at good prices. Never had a bad meal there. Live entertainment on the weekends, very good local cover bands.

This place used to b like my second home. but since Gigi and Joe left, its not the same. after a long week all I wanted was a cold beer, but I guess I was asking for too much. The bartender poured my pitcher and let it get hot while I stood there and watched. She was very rude and yelled at me across the bar. If hitting others wasn't illegal she would need a feeding tube right now. Being Disrespected and getting hot beer is not my idea of a good time. The owner Hector did nothing. personally I think thats bad customer service. & the band was sooooo loud and bad, it was terrible. I couldnt get out of there fast enough. I would NEVER go there again. After the fact I went to Corbetts Bar and had an amazing time. Cutler Bar has lost a few customers to Corbetts.

New to the area and tried this place last minute to watch the hockey game. I walked in and I was greeted by a wall of smoke!!! I took a seat at the bar anyways and was greeted VERY nicely by Michelle and she was a rockstar all night long with an awesome personality, smile and service. I would give her 5 stars easy. The wings and fries were actually pretty good and the beer (thanks to Michelle picking out some tasty local brews) were really good. Besides trying to get over the smoke, I had a group of three to my right and a overly flambouant couple to left that seemed to be muttering comments to each other all night. Then I had a large group on a guys night out that (talking in an accent between a pissed off Ricky Ricardo and Tony Montana) thought that yelling so freak'n loud that people in the parking lot could hear the conversation was very a great idea. I would have stayed to watch the whole game and drink more, but the smoke and yelling was just too much. I left and drove home to watch the rest of the game and listened to my girlfriend complain about how I smelled like smoke! I really wish I could a higher score... Sorry Michelle :(

Great food, great people. The place is like a home away from home. Hector the owner is awesome, the food is awesome. Drinks are cheap for Miami and the overall feel is great. Try the wings and burgers, amazing.

It's great the servers are awesome and the drink prices are fair. They have great food the wings and burgers are amazing. The new no smoking inside rule kinda sucks but I don't leave smelling like an ashtray I recommend it highly.

I've been here twice already. I literally live a few blocks away from this place. It's mostly locals that come here. And a very diverse group of people, especially on Friday and Saturday nights. The music is alright, there's a wide variety of music. They play old school hip hop, 80s dance music, new music... Etc. You have to try the crab cakes if you come here. The customer service is awesome. The bar tenders and waitresses treat you like they know you, and a lot of regulars come here. It's very low key, which is what I like about it. Great place to pregame if your from South Miami. Its also an awesome place to go to if you watch sports.

Love this place. Whether I go with my husband and son for their amazing lunch specials or on date night. Always some kind of drink special or event going on But never to crowded to walk, which is nice. Def try the chefs specials, I've had cheese burger lasagna to chicken and sun dried tomato sandwich to a cheese burger with a fried egg and bacon. Whatever you order it's amazing. Also the staff is super friendly and attentive. Love this place!

Really excellent place for food and drink. Stopped here on way to airport and had great nachos, burgers, wings, burritos and COLD beer in COLD mugs. Service great - Hector (owner) served us himself - very friendly and professional. Place is clean. Solid place to hang with friends or meet a group for football games for a whole afternoon - DO NOT HESITATE TO PULL OFF YOUR ROUTE AND STOP IN!!

This place rocks. It's a great locals watering hole but the menu is huge and everything is good. Everything is made there and the quality is surprising.

Great food, service and prices. Better quality than the franchise restaurants, intimate service and small business prices. Compare for yourself the $4.99 lunch specials compared with the fast food establishments down the road. Also compare the sizes and prices of wings up the road. You don't know what your missing.

Been coming here for the past few weeks on Wednesday night because they host a bike night and I've had a good time. They have cheap drinks and pretty good food. It's also nice that its right around the corner from my house and its a a hole in the wall kind of place (that's my kind of joint!). From the outside it kind of looks like a place that you wouldn't exactly feel safe going into....but once you get over the looks and stop in, all that changes. The place is clean, the bartenders and waitresses are friendly and the patrons are pretty down to earth. I've had a few items on the menu...some where better than others. The cheeseburger in my opinion was definitely lacking some finesse. It wasn't "bad"...but it wasn't anything that stands out...it was kind of generic. The patty tasted like a Bubba burger that you can pick up in the frozen section of Publix and slap it on the grill..topped with some iceberg lettuce, tomato, onion and pickle. Not to mention it was a very sloppy burger..by that I mean that the burger disintegrated in my hand right after the first bite. Now aside from the lackluster burger, there are other menu items that I found very pleasing to my palate. The garlic parmesan wings are pretty freaking awesome. They come out nice and crispy with parmesan cheese sprinkled on top with a side of blue cheese. Accompany them with a nice beer and you're in for a treat. If wings aren't your thing than try the fajitas because they are delicious. They come out on a sizzling platter and it is very fresh.

I have lived in the area for a long time and I remember back in the day when this was a scary dive and the food was awful. I gathered the courage to visit it again with a group of friends because Black Point's entertainment was canceled and the bugs were horrible. I am so glad that we went. We had a fairly large group and they had no problem doing separate checks. I started off with the escargot the flavor was good but it was almost like a snail soup there was so much liquid. I followed that with one of the specials that night, pork shank with loaded mashed potatoes and steamed veggies. OMG is all I can say. I could not believe that that dish came out of that kitchen. the pork was so tender and moist. The mushroom wine sauce was excellent. It has now become my new favorite place.

I've lived 7 minutes from this place for 10 years and for most of that time it didn't feel safe enough to drive by, let alone walk into. All that's changed now. I took the wife and kid for lunch a couple of months ago and was blown away by the great service and even better food. The garlic parmesan wings are obscenely good. To date I've had the burger, quesadilla, and nachos, and they were all outstanding. It wouldn't be fair to call it bar food because it's much better than that, and if you factor in the great specials they have you'd be foolish to venture anywhere else in this neighborhood. The lunch specials are $4.99, and the portions are big enough to fill a big boy like me. If you live in the area keep an eye out for the coupons they send out every few months in the magazine that comes in the mail. Since that first visit I've been going once a week for lunch on Mondays, but without the family. They allow smoking, which unfortunately kills it for me as a family-friendly place. But no worries, I get their food to go! I get that there's a segment of the population that needs to light up indoors, while the rest of us are eating, and breathing, but can we maybe set them up somewhere in the Everglades???

holy hell how the heck did I end up at what feels like the end of the world? that's whole other story...this place had an ale house/sketchy key west vibe to it. it was late I was buzzed the beers (and maybe shots?) were good, touch tunes played just what I told it to. If I am ever in the area again, I'd stop in for some nutrition in liquid 12oz form!

This is a great, local sports bar. We have been going for the past 5 years and have not once been disappointed. They have great drinks at fantastic prices and very good food. We usually have the Fish Dip, Wings, and Fajitas. We also tried the Bruschetta and it was amazing! They often have local bands performing or a DJ with pretty good music. The staff is great, gives prompt service and are very welcoming. Don't let the outside appearance deter you from trying out this great bar.

Another hidden gem in Cutler Bay! Nightly dinner specials, cold beer, plenty of TV's to watch any game you want! The bartenders are on point and good at keeping you hydrated! Haven't tried much of the food yet but the appetizers I have tried have been awesome!

I was taken here by my friend Yesenia and her crew. I actually had a blast. THere was a cover band playing and they were full of energy! The drinks were decently priced ($5 for a Vodka and Cranberry), but not too strong (thus the one start deduction). I definitely go back SN.. Considering I was one of the only black people there, I did get a hostile look or two, but who cares!!!! I'm FINE and better than that wine you've got in your flute shaped glass, you pansy ass (#&$(^@(^$!!!! Oh yeah.. I'm DEFINITELY going back!

after reading all the raves, i can only give it one star because we walked in there to have dinner and the cigarette smoke blew us back out. are you serious? no way could we possibly eat in a place that is like one big ashtray. we at least figured the back room would be smoke-free. nope. sorry we never got a chance to eat and never will. i suggest they set up tables outside and let the smokies eat, drink and smoke out there.

Okay, so I rarely write reviews for restaurants, though I always rave about the good ones to my friends. BUT I think Cutler Bay Sports Bar really deserves more recent 4-5 star Yelp reviews so everyone knows what a gem this place is. This "bar" has an impressive menu (as someone else pointed out, it doesn't only have bar food) and has great daily specials - they're not always listed on their site or their menu so you have to ask your waiter. I've dropped by several times this year and I've had the pleasure of tasting an array of entrees and appetizers from the kitchen, including stone crab, steak fajitas, pork medallions, churrasco steak, sloppy joe burgers, regular burgers, chicken wings (always naked and spicy), and the honey-blackened mahi mahi sandwich. Today, I'll review the latter, which I only just devoured. Let me just say before I continue, the other things I listed were excellent, no complaints, except that the regular burgers can sometimes be a hit or a miss so if you want to play it safe, choose one of the many other things on the menu that will definitely satisfy you! Now, about that honey-blackened mahi mahi sandwich... it was cooked to perfection and it was seasoned with honey (duh), balsamic vinegar (I think?), and fennel seeds. Those fennel seeds got me really excited even before I took a bite of my sandwich because in my opinion, people don't use enough fennel in seafood dishes. Anyways, that first bite was everything I wanted it to be: juicy, tender, a little sweet, with an explosion of fennel that I'd chewed. Some of you might be wondering what's so great about a white fish dipped in honey/balsamic sauce, sprinkled with some fennel seeds, and stuck between two buns? Well, it's the simplicity of it and you know what, if you're so curious, just go order one and see for yourself. It's worth the $11 because even if you don't think it's a mind-blowing meal, it's definitely filling and the fries it came with were heavenly. (Or if you're cheap, go across the street to the Publix, try to replicate the sandwich and fail, then come back to CBSB and order it like I told you to and relish in its simple deliciousness.) Come to think of it, when it comes to potato-cooking, these guys have it down to a T! I mean, I haven't had their potato skins, but I've had their garlic mashed potatoes that came with the pork medallions and holy moly were those delicious - I almost completely forgot about the main dish. Another entree I had (maybe the churrasco steak?) came with home fries that were just the right amount of crunchy/chewy exterior and soft, melting interior. Am I obsessed with potatoes? No. But I am in love with how well CBSB cooks them. Seriously. It's so ridiculously good and it might be worth dropping by just to order a dish that comes with a side of something made of potatoes because they're damn tasty!

My wife and I never ate here before this visit. Atmosphere was good everyone was happy typical sports bar. We ordered a beer and then we ordered food our waiter did not know if any item my wife was ordering was spicy. I found that odd and then the gentleman stated to us that normaly that food like that is not really spicy. I ordered a Blue Cheese Burger with Fries. So the light above our table continued to blink off and on during our meal. So our meal comes and the food looked okay my burger bun was soggy not toasted fries were looking eh. (They looked like Mc D fries) and the smoked pork my wife had orderd was spicy place when the other server brpught our food he did not know what the meal brought. U would think every one wpuld be on the same page. Plus the rice it came with was not imperial rice ( the menu said it was) the only reason I gave this place 3 stars was our waiter. He was nice and courteous.

Finally made it out to cutler bay sports bar and I picked a pretty good night being that it was drunk bingo night. My gf ordered the bacon cheeseburger which she enjoyed and I ordered alcohol which I enjoyed. The place is a real neighborhood bar and because of this you get all ages and all walks of life which is cool. The only thing I didn't like about my visit was the fact that a couple of the customers were beyond hammered and being obnoxious. I'm not sure if they showed up that way or were over poured while there, but those ppl end up killing the vibe for the others. Anyways overall pretty solid and I'll def be back when in the area.

came here for the car show, stuck around for lunch. had the bbq brisket platter which to my surprise was really good and fairly priced. the waiter was on the ball despite the big crowd. the free car show had a big turnout and i'm sure brought in tons of patrons. why 3 stars? a smallish pitcher of fattire beer was $16. they wont get me with that one again.

Second time here- great food, good service and nice people! Exactly what you would expect from your neighborhood pub... Great atmosphere and a big Menu! We've had the nachos, wing, and quesadillas... And all were really good. Not too greasy, good amount of meat, etc... Can't wait to come back.

This is a hidden gem. The hit of the night were the Garlic Parmesan Wings!!! They are a house specialty. I of course like my heat so I accompanied them with there house habenero hot sauce. The crab spinach artichoke spinach dip was good, but I did not get the crab, but it was good nonetheless. It seems they really take pride in their service and food. All in all I will hit this sports bar up again....

About 1-2 years ago I use to really enjoy coming to this bar. It's a neighborhood bar to me, always had a good vibe and friendly staff. Tonight I walk in and staff has changed. Couple new bartender girls - unfriendly, no smiles and not even a Hello. I stood at the bar and the bartenders passed me up a few times; without even so much as, "can I get you anything"? I waited about 10 minutes and turned around and walked right out! I drove straight down to Hole in the Wall down the street. Got a beer in no time flat and sat at the bar. Bartenders a lot more attentive and friendly at Hole in Wall! Something tells me I won't be going back to Cutler Bay Sports bar.

Terrible service, stale fries and overpriced, weak drinks. Our server was far more interested in socializing with patrons and shuffling dishes back and forth than actually checking on us. The place wasn't even that busy and 20+ minutes between beers is not acceptable in any sports bar I've ever been to. Had to go up to the bar just to get our card run so we could get the hell out.

First time I visited this place after new ownership was for a Lovedub charity event/car show. Place was packed! The service was incredibly attentive and accommodating. The menu has plenty to choose from. Our party of eight ordered a variety of plates, all of which were surprisingly pleasant. We all figured something would be a miss due the busyness of the local, but all was favored. Food was well prepared, plates, utensils and cups were all VERY clean and no musky odors as the previous setup offered. Cool beans on that! Everyone was happy with their meal, and not just our party. The sentiment seemed to be carried out through the entire place. Last night was a different offering altogether. I took my girl and kid for some bar food bites and a change of atmosphere from our typical Saturdays. Service was just as friendly and attentive/accommodating as the first visit, and as clean as well. So far, so good. The food, on the other hand, was not as previously experienced. My girl ordered the Chicken Nachos. I understand they're only nachos, but this looked like someone without the benefit of sight put it together. It was an absolute mess on a plate. Zero coherence. If you took your time to properly plate and dress the nachostravaganza, then dropped it on the floor and replated; this is what you are served. Flavor was okay. The congealed cheese product and chili were overwhelming. The chicken never stood a chance. The kid ordered the Fish & Chips. This also arrived nothing like previously ordered on the first visit and even less looking like it's picture (which is usually the case). Beer battered, yes, and obviously so. So much so that it only tasted and smelled of beer. No golden crispness here. Only a barely fried, white bread like coating with zero seasoning. The fish, removed from its pasty casing was just as flavorless. Not even so much as a sprinkle of salt or pepper. Sure, you can say..."let the product speak for itself" and that would be great, but in this instance, the product was a drunkard fish from a lake trying to pass as a seaworthy specimen. Fish species unknown. As for the "chips" ....not even remotely fresh fried fries. Luke warm, bland and soggy. Shame, especially after the hype I gave it. I had the Mushroom, Onion & Swiss Burger. Not much to mess up here. Well...the seasoning gods were apparently on vavation. It all, and I mean all tasted the same. While great in size, as great was the lack of flavor. Nothing distinguishable other than textures. Also a shame. Fries were just as bad as the "chips". Potato Skin app...was ehh. Smoked Fish Dip app..well that's a simple "scoop & plop" from a container. Flavor was as expected but serving temp was yet to be desired. My girl and child ordered basic beverages. An iced tea for her and coke for him. Where as I chose a tasty libation known as an ever popular IPA from Goose Head. Temp was great. Mugs were clean. First three were fantastic! Then, the fourth was an also disappointing surprise. It arrived in a plastic cup, no where near as cold or even near the same amount of pour as the glass mug. Although I'm pretty sure it carried the same cost. All this, to the tune of $77 not including tip. Talk about a swift kick to the gastric balls, all while making sure to get both of them at the same time. I apologized the entire ride home and into this morning. On a lighter note...it was "Ladie's Night 10p-2a"! Free shots for them at 11p & 1a. Woo hoo! We were gone by 10:30
